Rev. Shannon BLosser
My focus, as a Christian leader, is to encourage all of God’s children to grow in their faith, to see God working in their lives, and to have a faith that expresses itself in love for all people. I am also interested in public theology, cultural engagement, and discipleship as it relates to the life of the church. I am also an advocate for children with autism in the church and often write on the subject at shannonblosser.com.
I am a 2011 graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary where I earned my Masters of Divinity degree. I am also a 2002 graduate of West Virginia University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Journalism. Prior to entering seminary, I worked as a reporter for newspapers in West Virginia and North Carolina. I covered everything from local high school sports, to auto racing, to elections. I also worked for a public policy think tank that focused on higher education reform.
I am married to Abbi, who is also a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary. We have two kids – Noah (age 9) and Thaddeus (age 2). In my free time, I enjoy watching sports, blogging, playing a bad round of golf, making poor attempts at humor, and grilling.
